LONDON: TCB Media Rights is preparing to launch 25 new programs at MIPTV, including history- and scientific mystery-themed content such as Hunting Nazi Treasure.

The new series and one-offs cover history and science topics. World War Two: Witness to War from U.K. indie Like A Shot Entertainment examines the war’s seminal campaigns and battles through the eyes of those who were present. The series has already been presold to Discovery UK, American Heroes Channel in the U.S. and RMC Découverte in France. RMC Découverte also committed to the eight-part series Hunting Nazi Treasure, which is part of TCB’s slate.

Another highlight is Clash of The Collectables, which shows what happens when two of the world’s best collectors come together and are challenged to go head to head. Presented by Eric Knowles, the show sees two experts compete on a road-trip treasure hunt. It is produced by Australia’s Klinik TV.

In terms of science-focused shows, TCB is presenting Wag TV’s Space Dealers, which has been acquired by RMC Découverte and Discovery Nordic and CEE. The show sees four of America’s top space traders travel the country in search of incredible space artifacts. There is also Mark Three Media’s Boy With No Brain, which tells the story of Noah Wall, who was born with less than 2 percent of a brain.

Paul Heaney, the CEO of TCB Media Rights, said, “The interest in these titles before we’ve even brought them to market demonstrates that the demand for transactional factual, premium science and seminal history content continues to outstrip supply. Closing presales is the surest sign that you’re giving the market what it wants; this is what TCB was set up to take care of.”
