TCB Media Rights has clinched a two-year first-look deal with Transparent TV, the factual and format outfit founded by Jazz Gowans.

With the pact, TCB takes on the entire 70-hour back catalog of the Argonon-owned outfit, including Botched Up Bodies and Hidden History of Britain.

TCB has added a further 50 hours of content to its portfolio following deals with Daisybeck Studios and Wild Pictures. From Daisybeck comes the ten-part ITV commission The Production Line (aka Made In Britain). TCB is taking 20 hours of Wild Pictures’ back catalog as well as the brand-new season of The Cruise, which now has a total of 15 episodes.

Jimmy Humphrey, head of acquisitions and co-productions, commented, “Our roster of premium content suppliers is growing by the month, as these deals with Transparent TV, Daisybeck and Wild Pictures testify. With 400-plus hours of new factual content in our MIPCOM bag, we’re heading down to Cannes in great shape. It’s no exaggeration to say we’ve got something for everyone, from history to mystery, lifestyle to fact ent, covering everything from failed cosmetic surgery to high jinks on the high seas.”
