HBO has confirmed its slate of documentaries for the first half of 2020 and also revealed that it is in production on the first project from its multi-film deal with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ronan Farrow.

HBO Documentary Films has acquired North American television and streaming rights for the documentary Welcome to Chechnya, from Academy Award-nominated director David France, ahead of its world premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.
