This year’s "Connected Edition" of Sunny Side of the Doc and PiXii will feature history as the central theme.

PiXii Festival Connected Edition, a part of Sunny Side of the Doc, has announced the 14 digital and narrative experiences coming from France, Germany, Israel, Canada, the U.S. and Australia selected for this year’s edition.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 31st edition of Sunny Side of the Doc and the 4th edition of PiXii Festival will move to an exclusively online format.

Sunny Side of the Doc, slated for June 22 to 25, is preparing for a "reconfiguration of the marketplace event," in particular through digital alternatives.

Mathieu Béjot has been appointed to undertake the newly created position of director of strategy and development for Sunny Side of the Doc, supporting the late Yves Jeanneau’s son and the current CEO of Doc Services Roman Jeanneau in organizing the event.

For Sunny Side of the Doc’s 30th edition, the PiXii (Paths of Interaction, Experiences in Immersion & Innovation) program is returning with new digital mediation possibilities to bring content producers, cultural actors and innovative technology companies together.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Sunny Side of the Doc returns to La Rochelle, France for 2019 with a spotlight on Germany, a science and nature theme and an expanded PiXii program.

The 30th edition of Sunny Side of the Doc, an international market for documentary and narrative experiences, will have science as its theme with the corresponding slogan “Stand Up for Science.”
