On the first day of MIPDoc, April 6, BBC Studios’ Dr. Michael Gunton will sit down with World Screen’s Anna Carugati in the Grand Theatre at the JW Marriott to discuss the art and craft of factual filmmaking in the special Talent Behind the Scenes session, which will be followed by the presentation of this year’s World Screen Factual Trendsetter Award.

TCB Media Rights is heading to MIPTV with 36 new titles and 220 hours of content, including the prime-time series Banged Up (working title) and The House of Extraordinary People, with additional BriteSpark Films properties also highlighted.

The ten finalists for the MIPDoc Project Pitches have been revealed, touching on topics such as space history, climate change, technologies to rediscover the past and shape the future, baby trafficking and domestic labor in Africa.

Sky Vision is set to showcase a number of true-crime shows at MIPTV 2019.
