Scripps Taps A+E Networks UK Alum for EMEA Sales Role

LONDON: Scripps Networks Interactive has appointed industry veteran and former A+E Networks UK executive Kasia Jablonska as VP of affiliate sales for EMEA.

In her new role, Jablonska will be charged with managing the distribution of Scripps Networks’s lifestyle channel portfolio across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The portfolio includes Food Network, Travel Channel and Fine Living, as well as HGTV, which will launch in the region for the first time in November. Jablonska will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, increasing the distribution of Scripps Networks’s portfolio of brands in EMEA markets, and driving annual and long-term revenue growth.

Jablonska will report to Ross Hair, the senior VP of commercial for the U.K. and EMEA at Scripps Networks Interactive. She is based in London.

“Kasia brings more than 15 years’ experience in international channel distribution, content sales and commercial strategy and will play an integral role in further establishing Scripps Networks as the leading provider of lifestyle media across EMEA,” said Hair. “She joins at an exciting time for the business as we launch HGTV for the first time in the region, and I have no doubt that Kasia will play an important role in the future success of HGTV and our growing Scripps Networks portfolio.”

Prior to joining Scripps Networks Interactive, Jablonska served as director of distribution for the U.K., Central and Eastern Europe, Benelux, Africa and the Middle East at A+E Networks UK. She has also worked at NBCUniversal, FOX International Channels (now Fox Networks Group), National Geographic Partners and Wizja TV in Poland.
