Magic in the Mountains, a documentary about the 1960 Olympics, is set to air on SBS in Australia.

The doc tells the story of how the small town of Squaw Valley, California, won the right to host the 1960 Olympics. Magic in the Mountains is produced by Coolfire Studios and distributed by Principal Media, which also inked a deal with SBS for United Plates of America.

Hosted by Gary Takle, the series takes viewers on a journey across America to discover the underlying food culture that exists in every town. Now in its fifth season, United Plates of America is produced by Abode Entertainment.

Danny Boluarte, senior VP of business development and acquisitions at Principal Media, said: “As different as these two programs are, both are really right in SBS’s wheelhouse of eclectic, informative and highly entertaining content. Magic in the Mountains is brand new and a fascinating story about a small town’s Olympic history and how Walt Disney himself helped the magic there happen. And United Plates of America is a long-running series now having traveled across the U.S. to shed light on everything from obscure but brilliant cafes and cooks to the best-known and regarded restaurants and chefs in the biggest cities of the nation.”
