Rive Gauche Showcasing Jimmy Carter Doc

In the wake of the passing of humanitarian and 39th president of the United States Jimmy Carter, Rive Gauche Television has on offer In Their Own Words: President Jimmy Carter.

The one-hour doc from executive producers Chuck Dalaklis, Karen Wookey and Martin Katz provides a revealing look at Carter’s life with fresh perspectives from those closest to him. It follows his journey from a poor, rural peanut farmer to the 39th president of the United States in a story of faith, determination and humanity.

“President Jimmy Carter’s In His Own Words is an opportunity to introduce, in such trying times, the Jimmy Carter most people did not know; yes, he was president, but he was so much more,” said Jon Kramer, chairman and CEO of Rive Gauche Television. “A worldwide humanitarian, leader, courageous, a teacher and simply before his time. He was just an ordinary person from a small town that stepped forward to show us all what in simple ways could be done to change the world. His recent memorial service, seen around the world, was not a funeral but a celebration of an extraordinary life, well lived, worth sharing through this show around the world.”

The PBS documentary series is produced by Lower Canada Productions in association with Rive Gauche Television. The completed doc is ready for delivery for buyers around the world.

“A simple man from a small town describes in his own words an extraordinary life as a worldwide humanitarian that was far more than just being President of the United States,” Kramer said. “Viewers will be captivated and surprised by this man.”
