BOSTON: PBS International has clinched the distribution rights for The 50 Year Party: London, Glamour and Royalty at Annabel’s, which is executive produced by renowned filmmaker Ridley Scott.

Produced by RSA Films, the title offers a glimpse into the world behind the popular British hotspot, focusing on club founder Mark Birley. The production is set to air on BBC Four, with PBS International handling worldwide distribution.

“Annabel’s is synonymous with one of the most fun and iconic periods in London’s history,” said Scott. “I think we have shone a light into what was at the heart of London’s nightlife for the past 50 years and look forward to audiences everywhere having the opportunity to enjoy the world of Annabel’s as much as we did.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with RSA Films on this project,” said Tracy Beckett, the director of acquisitions for PBS International. “We are always working to bring fresh new programming into our catalogue and this exciting and fun film is a natural for audiences who love to look ‘behind the curtain.’”
