PBS Distribution Presenting New NOVA Titles at MIPCOM

For its MIPCOM offering, PBS Distribution has a selection of documentaries from the acclaimed science series NOVA, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Titles include Decoding the Universe, which traces discoveries that have reshaped our understanding of the cosmos; Building Stuff, which explores how engineers are pushing boundaries, reaching new heights and transforming our world; and What Are UFOs?, which examines the evidence of UFOs from all angles.

PBS Distribution’s slate also features a range of titles from its Australian co-production partner WildBear Entertainment. These include the World’s Greatest series, with two new seasons, as well as Myths and Mysteries, Transportation Marvels and Suddenly Royal, which tells the stories of everyday women and men from around the globe who marry into royalty.

In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz on January 27, 2025, PBS Distribution is presenting a collection of Holocaust-related content. Playing to Survive: von Cramm vs. Hitler, for one, sheds light on the little-known story of Gottfried von Cramm, a forgotten tennis hero who rose to fame in the 1930s. His career was significantly impacted by the rise of the Nazi regime and the subsequent persecution of Jews and LGBTQ+ individuals. His refusal to conform to Nazi ideals and his support for his Jewish friends led to a decline in his career and personal life.
