Passion Docs Appoints Head of Development

Passion Docs has tapped Cathal McElhinney, former development executive at Box to Box Films, as head of development.

McElhinney’s credits include Make or Break (Apple TV+) and an upcoming series focused on former Nissan and Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn, as well as a behind-the-scenes series about the PGA and ATP tours. He also worked on Fear City and Bad Sport for Netflix.

Passion Docs, led by founder Andrew Ruhemann and creative director David Moulton, has an ambition to cover new ground, combining incredible access with dramatic and innovative storytelling. Its recent work includes The Real Charlie Chaplin and The Rescue, both of which were nominated at this year’s News and Documentary Emmy Awards.

Cathal is a talented developer and brings a wealth of rich storytelling experience to the team, and he will be instrumental in building and developing our ambitious premium slate of series and single docs.
