Passion Distribution Sells Programming into AsiaPac

Passion Distribution has sold over 100 hours of content from its documentary and factual-entertainment slate into the AsiaPac region.

Yoon N Company acquired Art That Made Us, produced by ClearStory and Menace Productions, for Korea. The docuseries tells an alternative history of the British Isles through 1,500 years of art.

Engineering Reborn, produced by Pioneer Productions, was picked up by BBC Asia for the region. The docuseries explores the challenges behind the transformation of engineering marvels of the past into icons of the future.

Japan’s NHK acquired Stacey Dooley: Inside the Convent, a one-off documentary in which Stacey Dooley experiences life as a nun, spending ten days living alongside the Order of the Holy Paraclete Anglican religious community. It was produced by Firecracker and Little Dooley.

Legend Media in China licensed a package of factual-entertainment and documentary series, including Surviving the Stone Age, from Renegade Pictures and Motion Content Group; Cold War: The Tech Race, from Wild Bear Entertainment; and season two of Black Files: Declassified, from Espiritus Productions and Arcadia Entertainment.

Further sales include Mi Media (Malaysia) taking seasons one and two of Help! My House is Haunted and Celebrity Help! My House is Haunted, both produced by Back2Back Productions. Pet TV acquired season seven of Dog Rescuers, produced by Middlechild Productions and Motion Content Group, and Animal 24:7, from True North Productions. Singapore’s Mediacorp picked up The Weather Channel’s Weather Gone Viral seasons five and six.
