Parenthood Scores Global Sales

All3Media International has secured deals for Silverback Films’ Parenthood in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and Latin America.

The David Attenborough-narrated series has been acquired in Europe by NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, DR in Denmark, Yle in Finland, Telefonica in Spain, SIC in Portugal, France Télévisions in France, HRT in Croatia, CANAL+ Polska in Poland, Latvijas Televīzija in Latvia, MTVA in Hungary and ERR in Estonia.

In China, CCTV-9 has picked up the series as the first linear window. All3Media International’s AsiacPac office has secured a non-exclusive digital launch across four major Chinese streaming platforms: iQIYI, Youku, bilibili and Tencent Video.

Elsewhere in Asia, NHK in Japan, Now TV in Hong Kong and Warner Bros. Discovery have licensed the series.

Parenthood will also be coming to TVNZ in New Zealand and Network Ten in Australia.

On the North American continent, The WNET Group bought the series in the U.S., where it will air on the Nature series on PBS. CBC licensed the series for CBC TV and CBC Gem in Canada. Warner Bros. Discovery signed a pan-territory deal for Latin America.

Also, SH Channel 8 picked the series up in Israel, and Discovery Asharq acquired it for the Middle East and North Africa.

Parenthood is a five-part series that uses the latest 8K filming technology to follow the drama, danger and joy of animal parenthood in a changing world. It was originally produced for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
