Painless Productions has entered into a co-production partnership with LooseWorld and author and tech expert Brian McCullough for series on Silicon Valley.

Painless will work with LooseWorld partners Dane Reiley and Edwin Zane alongside McCullough to develop and produce unscripted series with a focus on tech programming. Painless, LooseWorld and McCullough are currently developing World War Web, which questions the darker repercussions of this tool as seen through the lens of faith, crime, extremism, porn and everything in between.

A Silicon Valley veteran, McCullough has launched several successful companies and is well known for writing the revolutionary book How the Internet Happened: From Netscape to the iPhone as well as the host of Silicon Valley’s most-listened daily news source, Techmeme Ride Home, which receives 1 million downloads a month.

Jim Casey, CEO of Painless Productions, said: “Brian’s history and vast experience are second to none. One of the few insiders who has seen it all, he can perfectly navigate us through this rabbit hole that both connects and splinters humanity.”

Brian McCullough added: “The internet has ‘disrupted’ all of our lives. It is long past time we examine all of that deeply and with an eye toward how we got here, why it’s great, but also, what we’ve gotten wrong along the way.”
