Optomen Productions Expands Jane Street Creative Team

Optomen Productions, an All3Media company, has appointed Kristin Wendell to VP of development for Jane Street Entertainment.

In her new role, Wendell will be tasked with generating new character-driven docuseries and creating original formats for both U.S. broadcast and cable networks as the Jane Street team prioritizes docu-soaps and prestige documentaries. Wendell will report directly to both Optomen President Maria Silver and Jane Street Founder Donna MacLetchie.

Optomen has had a co-production deal with Jane Street since 2017.

Previously, Wendell served as VP of development for Part2 Pictures, where she oversaw a slate that included The Story of Cool with LL Cool J (MSNBC), Scene of the Crime (ID), Breaking Hate (MSNBC) and the upcoming Chasing Life with Dr. Sanjay Gupta (CNN) among others. Earlier in her career, she held positions at truTV and Nat Geo and helped launch The Tony Danza Show, The Tyra Banks Show and The Colbert Report.
