#NOVA to Debut in Norway

#NOVA, a documentary from yes Studios that chronicles the October 2023 Hamas terrorist attack at the Nova Festival in Israel, has been acquired by VGTV in Norway.

The 52-minute documentary uses self-shot and mostly exclusive footage from festival attendees, portraying real-time reactions and emotions to the unfolding horror of the terrorist attack. It will debut on VGTV this week.

#NOVA was produced by Kastina Communications for yes Docu, with Dan Pe-er directing. The documentary is being distributed internationally by yes Studios.

“We are now six months on from the Nova festival, and as the war continues and narratives shift daily, we are seeing new interest in this film from a range of broadcasters,” said Sharon Levi, managing director of yes Studios. “#NOVA documents the brutal start of the war, an important moment in history, and captures different viewpoints without a conventional news agenda. Importantly, it also serves as a reminder that we still don’t know the fate of some of the young people kidnapped on this day.

“VGTV has a reputation for acquiring big, high-quality documentaries for its audience, and we are honored that #NOVA is joining its lineup about the Israel-Palestine conflict. This documentary is an important, authentic and must-watch film, providing a haunting and lasting testimony to the events of the 7th of October last year. Given the self-shot and very real nature of the footage, we are especially hopeful that it will resonate with younger audiences, the TikTok generation keen to receive information—not disinformation—to understand more about the start of the war.”
