New True-Crime Series Murder in Big Horn for Showtime

Showtime Documentary Films’ Murder in Big Horn is set to debut on Showtime’s streaming platforms on February 3 and on the linear network on February 5.

From directors Razelle Benally (Dark Winds) and Matthew Galkin (Murder in the Bayou, Kevorkian), the three-part series dives deep into Big Horn County, Montana, where dozens of young Indigenous women and girls from the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Nations have disappeared. It examines each case through the eyes of Native families, Native journalists and local law enforcement.

Murder in Big Horn seeks to shine a light on the epidemic of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women in an effort to help solve the unanswered mysteries.

The series is produced for Showtime by Fairhaven. Its producers are Benally, Ivan MacDonald and Ivy MacDonald, while Galkin executive produces. Its Showtime debut follow its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival on January 22.
