CANBERRA: Australian factual producer WildBear Entertainment has partnered with Nat Geo WILD for the co-production of ten hours of wildlife programming, including four hours of 4K content.

Among the titles included in the pact is The Wildest River in the World, a 4K series that centers on the Kinabatangan River in Borneo. Another 4K project is Dolphin Dynasty, which WildBear is producing with Sea Dog TV International and Moers Media. The production follows three generations of dolphins from Australia's Shark Bay. There is also Faces Only a Mother Could Love, which explores a variety of creatures with grotesque appearances, and Moody Beasts, focused on the impact of hormones on animal behavior.

All four programs will be distributed throughout Nat Geo WILD's 140 international markets.

Michael Tear, the CEO of WildBear Entertainment, commented: "WildBear prides itself in bringing exceptional factual stories to the screen in the most compelling and stunningly visual ways possible and we are constantly looking to challenge ourselves. Filming where nobody has gone before in Borneo and working with Sea Dog TV International and Moers Media using unique techniques to capture new dolphin behavior is representative of our approach and we are delighted to have support and commitment from the team at Nat Geo WILD, who share our vision."

Edwina Thring of Wild Thring Media, who negotiated the agreement on behalf of WildBear, added: "I am delighted to have concluded this deal between WildBear Entertainment and Nat Geo WILD. The subjects and approaches are all truly fascinating—and original—and with Nat Geo WILD's strategic focus on building 4K content, we are especially pleased to be able to deliver them four 4K hours next year."
