Nat Geo Alum Geoff Daniels Joins Nutopia

Nutopia has hired former Nat Geo executive Geoff Daniels as executive VP of unscripted entertainment, a newly created role.

Daniels was previously the executive VP of global unscripted entertainment for Nat Geo, overseeing all development and production for unscripted programming for National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD and Nat Geo on Disney+. He was responsible for commissioning the hit Nutopia series The World According to Jeff Goldblum and the soon-to-be-released Limitless with Chris Hemsworth. Prior to this, he launched and led Nat Geo WILD.

At Nutopia, Daniels will work across all series in production, manage program marketing and help to liaise with the company’s key production partners and talent. He will be based in the U.S. and report to Nutopia’s founder and CEO, Jane Root.
