LONDON: Former ITV series producer Matthew Cox has joined Naked Entertainment as its new executive producer.

At ITV, Cox helped transform Text Santa into the network’s largest annual fundraising extravaganza. Prior to ITV, he produced and directed a number of TV shows across a wide range of genres for all the major U.K. channels, from big competition shows such as Superstar for ITV and Playing It Straight for Channel 4 to social experiments Alive: Back to the Andes for Channel 5 and When Women Ruled the World for Channel 4.

Cox will be working with Simon Andreae, CEO of Naked Entertainment, and his team.

Andreae said: “Matt has an incredibly wide range of programming under his belt and brings a wit and warmth to all that he touches. We’re delighted he’s joining us to help shape and supervise our growing slate.”

Cox added: “In under a year, Naked Entertainment is fast becoming one of the U.K.’s most exciting indies evolving the non-scripted space. I am thrilled to be joining Simon and his team, and to play a part in helping the company continue to develop audacious and high-impact programming in both the U.K. and U.S.”
