More One Night with My Ex for Channel 5

Twofour has been commissioned to produce a second season of One Night with My Ex for Channel 5.

The 6×45-minute season is slated to return to Channel 5 in early 2018. The show reunites former lovers, giving them the opportunity to spend a night together. Each episode features two or three former couples as they see each other again for the first time since breaking up and ask each other a series of questions designed to uncover where their relationships went wrong and see if there is still a chance to rekindle their feelings.

A U.S. version, A Night with My Ex, was made for Bravo. Twofour Rights distributes the series.

David Clews, the creative director of Twofour, said, “It really is exciting to be able to bring together all these love-struck couples. It’s fascinating and a privilege to see inside so many different relationships. We’ve all got ex partners and it’s easy to relate to the various issues that this series explores, that might be…regrets, mistakes, trust, honesty and ultimately love. The show includes some incredibly emotional stories and loads of laugh-out-loud moments. It’s wonderfully heartfelt and touching, and will bring out the ‘romantic’ in everyone.”

Guy Davis, the commissioning editor for factual at Channel 5, commented, “We have all experienced heartbreak, wanted to get the final word, or have emotional unfinished business from our past loves. Having couples lay bare their insecurities and intimately explore their relationships makes fascinating and heartfelt viewing. And we have new elements for this run, tracking these relationships when times were good as well as finding out what happened after their time in the One Night with My Ex apartments. We’re really excited to welcome back this second [season], set to run in January 2018.”
