MIPCOM Spotlight: MBC

The VR documentary series Meeting You is a recent hit among MBC’s factual programs.

Meeting You integrates VR technology into a documentary-style series to create a digital version of a person who has passed. “Ever since the production of the first episode in early 2020, Meeting You has delivered a miraculous and heartfelt experience through the collaboration of documentary and VR technology,” says Jean Hur, director of format sales and co-development.

More hits include the marriage talk show Marital Nightmare and the social-experiment reality show Empty House Project.

Marital Nightmare invites a Korean psychiatrist to provide practical advice to married couples in crisis. In Empty House Project, four celebrities and an architect transform a complex of empty and abandoned houses into a brand-new space to spur a social ripple effect.
