Mr. Chow Documentary to Premiere

AKA Mr. Chow, a documentary about restaurateur Michael Chow, is set to bow on Sky Documentaries on December 4.

Multi-hyphenate Chow, born Zhou Yinghua in 1930s Shanghai, grew up to become an actor and artist before inventing a new identity, Mr. Chow, when he opened the first of his iconic restaurants. The doc features no-holds-barred conversations with the man himself.

Now having found fame and fortune in the West, Chow celebrates his Chinese roots by returning to painting, reemerging as the artist M. The documentary sees Chow redefining himself in the self-titled “fifth act” of his life.
