Love Nature has greenlit a second season of the Off the Fence-produced series New Kids in the Wild.

The second season will focus on baby animals across distinct ecosystems in South America, with each episode following a different species such as giant river otters, coatis, South American sea lions, jaguars and muriquis.

Season two of New Kids in the Wild will premiere on Love Nature’s branded linear and streaming platforms and on Sky Nature in the U.K., Germany and Italy in spring 2023. Blue Ant International oversees presales and licensing in the U.S. and international markets.

“The passionate fan reaction to New Kids in the Wild was the impetus to create a second installment, in which our filmmakers went even further afield to capture exclusive peeks into the life-building experiences of new little animals,” said Carlyn Staudt, global general manager of Love Nature. “Families and kids will love the cute and heartwarming animal stories that also offer fascinating insight on how vulnerable newborns learn to survive.”

“We’re thrilled to be making another season of New Kids in the Wild with Love Nature,” said Debbie Hinnigan, executive producer for Off The Fence. “We’re working hand in hand with incredible local teams who, despite a global pandemic, have managed to capture beautiful images that give a real insight into some of the regions’ most distinctive and iconic animals. Being able to film the critically endangered muriqui, known as the hippy monkey, is something that we’re incredibly proud of.”
