Lip Sync Battle Returning for Season Three on Spike

NEW YORK: Spike TV has renewed Lip Sync Battle for a third season, with 20 half-hour episodes featuring celebrities lip-syncing the song of their choice.

The new season will tape later this year. A premiere date for season three will be announced in the near future. Lip Sync Battle is the most-watched original series in Spike’s history. Season two launched on January 7 and through the first two episodes it is averaging 4.4 million viewers.

“Lip Sync Battle is a multiplatform pop-culture phenomenon that has played an integral role in delivering a new and broader audience to Spike,” said Kevin Kay, Spike’s president.
