Laws of the Lizard Among Smithsonian’s Wildlife Lineup

Smithsonian Channel has revealed its new lineup of nature and wildlife programming for late 2018 and early 2019, including Laws of the Lizard.

Laws of the Lizard looks on as two biologists and wildlife filmmakers take a 12-month journey to explore the titular animal. The Grand Helix Award winner is made by Nathan Dappen and Neil Losin of Day’s Edge Productions for Smithsonian. It is scheduled to debut in December 2018.

Incredible Animal Moments will premiere early next year. The program counts down some of the most amazing wildlife footage caught on high-speed cameras. It is produced by Smithsonian in association with Earth Touch.

Launching in Q1 2019 is My Journey with a Polar Bear, in which a Norwegian filmmaker tell the story of a polar bear mother struggling to raise her cubs as her home is melting away. It is made by Asgeir Helgestad of Artic Light in cooperation with Smithsonian.

And then there is A Life Among Monkeys, which will debut next year during the second quarter. The program follows a scientist who has been studying monkeys in Sri Lankan jungles for decades. The Terra Mater Factual Studios and Smithsonian production is made by Keo Films.
