Jordin Sparks to Host Holiday Special on Food Network Canada

How to Holiday with Jordin Sparks and Friends, executive produced and developed by Kin, is slated to air on Corus Entertainment’s Food Network Canada next month.

The special will feature the multi-platinum recording artist and passionate baker Jordin Sparks as the host. The one-hour program will also include six Canadian digital lifestyle creators tapping into their own holiday spirit: Yolanda Gampp (How to Cake It), Sara Lynn Cauchon (The Domestic Geek), Cheryl Torrenueva (Simply Cher Cher), Matt Basile (Fidel Gastro) and Lauren Toyota (hot for food). Each of the digital creators will produce, film and edit their own segments.

In addition to providing viewers with holiday lifestyle tips, How to Holiday with Jordin Sparks and Friends will have a multiplatform content integration with Kellogg’s Rice Krispies for their #TreatsForToys program.

How to Holiday with Jordin Sparks and Friends will premiere on Food Network Canada on Saturday, December 1, at 8 p.m. Encore presentations of the special will air on W Network on Friday, December 7, at 7 p.m. and on Global on Saturday, December 8, at 12 p.m.

“Through Heart of the Batter, which launched with Kin earlier this year, Jordin Sparks has been able to share her passion for baking with online audiences,” said Michael Wayne, the CEO of Kin. “Now TV audiences will have the opportunity to see Jordin and their favorite digital creators on one of the go-to broadcast networks for lifestyle.”

Lynn Chambers, the VP of Corus Tempo, added: “Finding unique and strategic integration opportunities for our brands and partners is what Corus Tempo thrives on and continues to pioneer. We are thrilled to join forces with Kin on this special, developing a truly inspired campaign that pairs perfectly with Kin’s creators, the Food Network Canada audience and the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies #TreatsForToys initiative.”
