John Lennon & Yoko Ono Special to Premiere Next Month on A&E

A&E Network is premiering its two-hour biography special John and Yoko: Above Us Only Sky, which chronicles the lives and marriage of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, on Monday, March 11, at 9 p.m.

Using never-before-seen footage of the couple from their private archive, the special delves into the making of Lennon’s 1971 album Imagine and the creative collaboration between the duo behind the scenes. It is a part of A&E’s Biography franchise.

The special features interviews with several people who witnessed the period first-hand, including Ono herself, Julian Lennon (the couple’s son), John Dunbar (the man who introduced Lennon and Ono) and Dan Richter (Lennon’s former personal assistant), some of whom have never spoken publicly on camera before.
