LONDON: ITV2 in the U.K. has given the go-ahead to the competition series Prank Pad.

The 8×1-hour production will see a group of eight tricksters compete through pranks to be the last one standing in order to win six months of rent-free living. Whizz Kid Entertainment is producing the show for the network. Executive producers for Whizz Kid Entertainment are Malcolm Gerrie, Lisa Chapman and Sharyn Mills.

“With so many young people finding it hard to leave home, it should be a fun ride seeing how mischievous the contestants can be in their efforts to win some rent-free accommodation,” said Angela Jain, ITV’s director of digital channels and acquisitions.

Chapman, the managing director of Whizz Kid Entertainment, commented: “Prank Pad is a crazy mash-up of reality TV meets prank. There are so many great online pranksters out there right now we thought, why not see what happens when they live together? Sharyn brings her huge experience of casting and reality to the production, so we’re really excited at the prospect of unearthing some new stars.”
