ITN Productions has appointed Georgina Madley as the company’s new head of development and upped Grace Dean to the head of short form position.

Madley joins ITN from BBC Studios, where she served as head of development of unscripted productions. She previously held head of development positions at Alaska TV and Blast!. She also worked as a development producer for five years at Blakeway North, where she helped to develop series and singles such as Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun (Channel 5), Generation Gifted (BBC Two), My Online Nightmare (Channel 4), My Baggy Body (Channel 4) and EDL Girls: Don’t Call Me Racist (BBC Three).

Prior to her promotion to head of short form, Dean served as entertainment and short form senior producer for ITN, where she’s worked since January 2016. Before joining ITN, she worked at the Olympic Broadcasting Services, BBC and the Guardian.

“I’m delighted Georgina is joining ITNP to lead our brilliant development team,” said Ian Rumsey, director of TV production at ITN. “She has a great track record in popular factual, topical programs and developing interesting format ideas and will no doubt play a key role in creating exciting new opportunities for us, in the U.K. and overseas.”

Rumsey added: “Our short-form slate is growing all the time, and Grace is the ideal person to help build on the success we’ve already achieved.”

Madley said: “ITN Productions has an unrivaled factual reputation, so I’m looking forward to joining Ian and the team to develop an exciting slate that not only builds on their success but takes them into new territories too.”
