NEW YORK: Investigation Discovery (ID) is introducing IDCON, the network’s first-ever convention for crime enthusiasts.

The fan event for crime TV lovers will offer exclusive access to ID personalities, sneak peeks at upcoming programming and immersive activities. The event will be held on Saturday, June 11, in New York City at the Altman Building.

Personalities from the network due to attend IDCON include On The Case’s Paula Zahn, Homicide Hunter’s Joe Kenda, Hate in America’s Tony Harris, Killer Instinct’s Chris Hansen, Mind of a Murderer’s Michelle Ward and Deadly Women’s Candice DeLong. With several talent-led series rolling out this spring and summer, the network will also introduce new stars. Additional ID personalities will be confirmed at a later date. IDCON goers will be able to attend Q&As and a meet-and-greet and autograph session with participating ID talent.

In addition to viewing exclusive clips from upcoming shows, fans will have the chance to win walk-on roles in new ID series. Additional activities at IDCON will include a virtual-reality experience, a mock forensic lab and a podcast station. Fans can partake in IDCON for free.

“Several years ago, Investigation Discovery viewers coined the term ‘ID Addicts’ to describe our greatest and most passionate fans—those who truly love ID’s signature storytelling, to death,” said Henry Schleiff, the group president of Investigation Discovery, American Heroes Channel and Destination America. “ID Addicts have only multiplied over the years and, in fact, they’ve made us the number-one network for women, so the time is ripe to finally give them what they’d kill for—an exclusive, full-day date with the talent and brand they just can’t ever get enough of.”
