Internet Star Hannah Hart to Host Food Network Show

NEW YORK: Digital sensation Hannah Hart has been lined up to present an untitled project produced by Warrior Poets that has been ordered to series by Food Network.

Untitled Hannah Hart Project will look on as the titular personality travels to new cities across the country, eating within a limited budget determined by that city’s average dining-out cost. The six-episode food/travel show is slated to begin production later this summer for a tentative debut at the end of the year. It will be complemented by a digital experience on the Food Network website and various social channels.

Hart has more than 5 million followers across social platforms. She is an actress, producer and author of the New York Times best-selling book My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide to Eating, Drinking and Going with Your Gut. Hart co-produced and stars in Lionsgate’s upcoming comedy Dirty 30, which will hit theaters in the fall. She is currently developing a number of scripted TV series.

“We share the same mission Hannah has built her own brand success on, creating engaging and entertaining content for our viewers,” said Kathleen Finch, the chief programming, content and brand officer at Scripps Networks Interactive. “The deep connection viewers of all ages, especially Millennials, have to food and food-adjacent content makes Food Network the perfect place for Hannah to continue to explore her own food adventure and we are excited to see all that comes from this organic convergence of the digital and television landscapes as we continue to deliver (together) for what audiences are craving.”

Hart added: “While I’m not a food expert…. I do consider myself a food enthusiast! I love to eat! And I love to travel. But most of all I love to share my experiences. My life has blessed me with so many wonderful opportunities that my goal is to find a way to make them accessible to all! Food Network is the perfect partner for this endeavor and I couldn’t be more proud to call them mine.”
