Insight TV to Premiere Sandboarding on Dragon Hill Doc

Insight TV is set to launch its first documentary shot entirely in 8K UHD HDR, Sandboarding on Dragon Hill, on June 7.

Sandboarding on Dragon Hill follows Canadian mountain bike legend and Hall of Famer Brett Tippie as he travels to Chile to ride the biggest sand dune in the world. Set in the Chilean port city of Iquique in the Atacama desert, the doc also features Iquique local and two-time sandboarding world champion Jose Martinez, who brings Tippie and fellow MTB Hall of Famer and former professional skier Richie Schley to the best sandboarding locations in the area. Together, the three athletes experience exhilarating rides via bikes, snowboards and skis down mountains of sand.

Sandboarding on Dragon Hill, produced by France-based FastFokus, is airing as part of Insight TV’s week-long Board, Not Bored! programming event. Other titles in the lineup include the four-part series Lost in Indonesia, Day of Days on the Thundercloud Reef, ten-parter Chasing Monsters, Lift Off with Jokke Sommer and Niccolo Porcella, Surf Girls, Taming Jaws and Born to…, featuring profiles of surfers Maud Le Car, Nic Von Rupp and Frederico Morais.
