Insight TV Launches on Russia’s Tricolor

Insight TV has signed a distribution deal with Tricolor, a multiplatform operator in Russia, expanding its footprint in the country and other CIS markets.

Through the deal, Insight TV’s HD feed is available on Tricolor’s DTH platform, as well as on the Tricolor Kino and TV application for OTT customers. The service’s UHD and HD feeds are fully localized and available to all TV platforms in the region, reaching over 15 million subscribers. Insight TV is working with St. Petersburg-based First HDTV to further expand the distribution of its UHD and HD channels in Russia and CIS.

Adina Gorita, distribution manager at Insight TV, said: “Being the pioneer of UHD broadcasting in Russia, Tricolor was the first platform to launch Insight TV UHD in October 2015. Now, we are particularly excited to have the opportunity to expand our relationship with them to include our HD feed as well, which is available to over 15 million subscribers.”
