Inside the Mind of a Con Artist Series for Curiosity

Autentic Production and Topkapi Nonfiction have wrapped production on the Curiosity original crime science series Inside the Mind of a Con Artist.

The six-part series unearths the truth behind recent fraud cases by psychoanalyzing the con artists, inviting a selected group to a scientific institute where they are confronted with their crimes. Inside the Mind of a Con Artist is slated to premiere on Curiosity Stream and Curiosity Channel in spring 2022.

Experts in forensic psychology, behavioral science and neuroscience look into the con artists’ minds to uncover the unconscious meanings and motivations behind their actions. The con artists featured include Christophe Rocancourt, Matthew Cox, Frederic Bourdin, Jan Lewandowski, Shaun Greenhalgh and Helmut Kiener.

Commissioned by Curiosity, Inside the Mind of a Con Artist has the German factual special-interest channel ZDFinfo on board as an additional partner. Chinese streaming service Bilibili and Dutch broadcaster KRO-NCRV are co-producing the series for their channels.
