Industrial Media is expanding upon its relationship with Todd Hurvitz through an overall deal with the veteran series creator, showrunner and executive producer.
As a creator and executive producer of a wide array of unscripted series like Ghosts in the Hood, Town of the Living Dead, Porter Ridge, Hack My Life and Summer House, Hurvitz will collaborate with Industrial Media CEO Eli Holzman and President Aaron Saidman to develop original series and produce content in various formats. Hurvitz is currently the showrunner of the Nickelodeon series The Substitute, which is produced by Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC).
After many years as a screenwriter, Hurvitz launched his unscripted career on MTV’s PUNK’D and has produced series on networks and platforms such as VH1, Discovery, CBS, ABC, Facebook Watch and E!, among others. He also served as senior VP of programming for Truly Original and Original Media in New York before returning to Los Angeles.
Today’s pact with Hurvitz marks the fourth deal Industrial Media has forged this year, following its partnerships with content producers that include Radicle Act, the film and television production company recently launched by Oscar- and Emmy-nominated actor, director and producer Don Cheadle; Momentum Content and its CEO, Christina Douglas; and award-winning director and executive producer Matthew Galkin and his company, Fairhaven Films.
