Truck Night in America, a new competition series from Endemol Shine North America’s 51 Minds, is due to debut on HISTORY early next month.

Truck Night in America will look on as 50 truck owners from across the U.S. participate in an obstacle course with challenges that test their ingenuity and driving skills for the chance to win a $10,000 prize. The competitors will be coached by experts “Pistol” Pete Sohren, Glen Plake, Abe Wine and Rob “Bender” Park.

A+E Networks is handling the global distribution rights for Truck Night in America.  The 10-part show will premiere on Thursday, March 8, at 10 p.m.

“Trucks have a true place in American history, both past and present, and as the most widely sold vehicle with 133 million currently on U.S. roads, there is an appetite for this genre of programming,” said Eli Lehrer, the executive VP of programming at HISTORY. “Since 1925 when the first American factory-produced truck rolled off the line, owners have been devising ingenious ways to make them faster, stronger and better, and this can be seen with the tough competitors in our new series.”
