Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton & Sam Branson Launch Prodco

Hillary Rodham Clinton and her daughter Chelsea Clinton have partnered with Sam Branson to launch HiddenLight Productions, a global studio creating documentary, unscripted and scripted entertainment for TV, film and digital.

HiddenLight Productions’ first project is Gutsy Women, a straight-to-series order for Apple TV+, hosted by Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton and inspired by their best-selling book, The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience. In the series, the mother-daughter duo will spotlight a diverse cast of trailblazing women, setting out on a quest to answer what it takes to be a “Gutsy Woman.”

Gutsy Women is executive produced by Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Johnny Webb and Roma Khanna.

In addition to Gutsy Women, HiddenLight Productions has a number of projects in advanced development that will be announced in the coming months. The new business will be led by Executive Chair Roma Khanna and CEO Johnny Webb. The documentary production company Sundog Pictures, led by Webb and Claire Featherstone, will be incorporated into the new venture along with the entire Sundog team. Featherstone will become COO of HiddenLight Productions.

Hillary Rodham Clinton, founder of HiddenLight Productions, said: “For too long, attention has been paid only to the loudest voices in the room. There have been generations of change-makers who have shaped and will continue to shape our world—often quietly, flying under the radar. We are excited to launch HiddenLight to share the stories of leaders—celebrated and unsung alike—who are defying the odds and marching bravely forward.”

Sam Branson, founder of HiddenLight Productions, commented: “There has never been a more urgent time to ask and answer the big questions that will shape our future in the years to come. Now more than ever, we need stories that foster hope and bridge the divide to create a more united and solution-focused world.”

Chelsea Clinton, founder of HiddenLight Productions, added: “The stories we tell and the experiences we share shape the way we see each other and help us understand our own unique place in the world. We are thrilled to launch HiddenLight to bring powerful stories of perseverance and persistence to the world. Our hope is that they will surprise, inspire and expand the notion of what’s possible as we work toward a kinder, safer, more just and equitable future.”
