Little Dooley, the independent production company from British presenter Stacey Dooley, has launched with backing from the U.K.-based incubator Greenbird Media.

The agreement sees Greenbird, which is owned by Keshet International, entering into what is primarily a services and support role with Little Dooley. Little Dooley will work as co-producers to co-create program formats, as well develop commissioning ideas and emerging talent.

Dooley has made more than 90 documentaries in the last 12 years with a range of independent production companies. Covering a wide range of topics, she has reported from across the world for BBC Three, BBC One and CBBC.

Greenbird’s joint managing director, Stuart Mullin, said: “This model is one that has worked well with Big Light and Owl Power and allows creatives to develop while we help support with the necessary services to help enable commissions.”

Jamie Munro, Greenbird’s joint managing director, added: “Nurturing creatives is the foundation of what we do at Greenbird and we’re delighted to be working and enabling Stacey to help realize her ambitions.”

Dooley added: “I’m delighted to be starting this exciting chapter. Little Dooley will not only be my new home, but hopefully in the future, a safe space to nurture new talent coming through. I can’t wait to get going!”
