NEW YORK: FYI has ordered the spin-off Married at First Sight: Second Chances, featuring Married at First Sight alums David Norton and Vanessa Nelson.

Married at First Sight: Second Chances is scheduled to premiere next year. Production on the 12 episodes begins immediately in Atlanta, Georgia. The show follows Norton and Nelson, favorite cast members from season three of Married at First Sight, as they continue to search for love after their marriages from the first series fizzled out.

Married at First Sight: Second Chances will give men and women located in Norton and Nelson’s hometown area of Atlanta the chance to participate in multiple rounds of dating in an effort to win their hearts. The spin-off is produced by Kinetic Content for FYI. Chris Coelen and Brenda Coston are executive producers for Kinetic Content. Gena McCarthy and Shura Davison serve as executive producers for FYI.

“The FYI viewers have spoken and we have listened to their demands to give two of the popular Married at First Sight participants a second chance to find a meaningful partner,” said McCarthy, the executive VP of programming and development at FYI. “This series will follow David and Vanessa as they potentially find everlasting love with the likes of viewers and real people who are eager to date them.”

Married at First Sight season four currently airs on FYI on Tuesdays. The finale is slated for October 25 at 8:30 p.m.
