Fremantle in First-Look Deal with Amy Berg

Fremantle has secured an exclusive first-look agreement with Oscar- and Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker Amy Berg.

Under the agreement, Berg’s Disarming Films and Fremantle will jointly develop a slate of documentaries. Disarming Films has been producing long-form documentary features and docuseries for broadcast for over a decade, with projects ranging from The Case Against Adnan Syed for HBO to We Are: The Brooklyn Saints and Dogs for Netflix, Keep This Between Us for Freeform and Phoenix Rising for HBO and HBO Max.

Berg working closely with Fremantle’s global head of documentaries, Mandy Chang.

This marks a first-of-its-kind deal for Fremantle’s doc unit.
