Freeform Group Establishes New Production Label

A Place in the Sun producer Freeform Group has set up the new label Double FTV.

Double FTV is led by A Place in the Sun executive producer Michelle Heeley, who will take on additional duties as Double FTV’s creative director. Freeform Productions will continue to produce A Place in the Sun, while Double FTV will create new original factual and factual entertainment projects.

The new company launches with two new commissions: Jasmine’s Renovation in the Sun, a 15-part series for Channel 4, and Bomb Squad: Trigger Point, a four-part prime-time Channel 5 commission. It will also make films for The One Show on BBC One.

Heeley said: “We are hugely excited to launch Double FTV. We believe Double FTV will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high-quality content that entertains, informs, and inspires audiences with double the humor, double the heart and double the originality.”
