Four New True-Crime Series from ABC News Studios

Four new true-crime docuseries from ABC News Studios, including The Ashley Madison Affair and Betrayal: The Perfect Husband, are set to begin streaming exclusively on Hulu this summer.

The Ashley Madison Affair, slated to drop on July 7, explores the rise and fall of the notorious dating platform Ashley Madison and the shameless marketing tactics that caught the attention of its intended audience, as well as a group of hackers.

The three-part docuseries tells the story of the hackers’ unmet demand, a data breach and the fallout. It is produced by Wall to Wall Media and ABC News Studios.

Betrayal: The Perfect Husband details a love story gone wrong. Jen Faison thought she found her happily ever after with her college sweetheart, beloved high school teacher Spencer Herron. Faison’s seemingly perfect life falls apart when she discovers that Herron was involved in affairs and criminal sexual assault. The series is produced by Glass Entertainment and ABC News Studios and is set to begin streaming on July 11.

On July 27, Mother Undercover is slated to premiere. The four-parter tells the tales of four courageous mothers on a missions to save or get justice for their children in incidents of murder, international kidnapping, mass suicide and judicial corruption. ABC News Studios co-produced the series with Pioneer Productions.

Produced by Latchkey Films and ABC News Studios, Demons and Saviors is set to debut on August 3. It tells the story of Christina Boyer, once infamously known as the “poltergeist girl.” Now, she is convicted of murdering her 3-year-old daughter. Thirty years into her life sentence, she still proclaims her innocence.
