LONDON: Scripps Networks UK & EMEA has extended a deal with UPC that sees standard-definition feeds of its lifestyle channels Food Network and Fine Living launching on the cable operator in Hungary.

Food Network has launched on UPC Magyarország Kft in Hungary with a lineup that includes Jenny and Reza’s Fabulous Food Academy, The Kitchen and Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. Fine Living debuted with new season premieres of Flip or Flop and Fixer Upper. Both channels are available to subscribers as part of the Gold package with voiceover in Hungarian. Travel Channel is already available on UPC Magyarország Kft in both SD and HD formats.

“Our growth strategy has been a key focus for us this year and this new deal with UPC Magyarország Kft is testament to this,” said Phillip Luff, the managing director of Scripps Networks UK & EMEA, a division of Scripps Networks International. “We are confident that viewers will enjoy the high-quality content Food Network SD and Fine Living SD have to offer.”

“We welcome Food Network and Fine Living, two of the top lifestyle channels of the world, into UPC’s digital television portfolio,” added Anita Carra, the chief marketing officer of UPC Hungary. “We are very proud that UPC is one of the first cable companies to launch these programs in Hungary and I’m sure that by this step we [will] provide more premium experiences to our Digital Gold customers.”
