Flipping Bangers Gets Season Two in the U.K.

A+E Networks UK has recommissioned Just Might TV’s Flipping Bangers for a second run, which will be distributed by TCB Media Rights.

The second season of Flipping Bangers is set to premiere on BLAZE in the U.K. in spring 2019. It will continue to follow petrol heads Will Trickett and Gus Gregory as they go hunting for bargain-bucket cars that most people would avoid in order to fix and flip them for a profit.

Elena Anniballi, the director for BLAZE, said, “Flipping Bangers was a big hit in its premiere outing on BLAZE earlier this year, quickly becoming the third highest rated show on the channel among adult men, with viewers drawn to the natural chemistry between Will and Gus, and their passion and expertise in giving once-loved car classics a new lease of life. We are thrilled to bring this exciting car format back to BLAZE viewers for a second series, and in doing so further build the channel’s reputation for the best motoring programming in free-to-air homes.”

Just Might’s Dan Allum, executive producer on the series, added, “I wanted to make a series that would connect with ordinary motorists who love cars but don’t have much spare money. The massive success of Flipping Bangers series one shows we are doing something right. Amongst men of a certain age, there’s huge nostalgia for cars that might seem ‘uncool’ today, but we celebrate the quirky with the mainstream. I’m glad to report an aged Austin MG Maestro will be featuring this time alongside cars like the Audi TT and BMW Z3.”
