Video Interview: Rapper Fat Joe Discusses Hosting Fat Joe Talks

STARZ has lined up its first weekly talk show with Grammy-nominated rapper Fat Joe, who hosts and executive produces Fat Joe Talks. Throughout the series, he leads conversations with cultural icons from the entertainment industry such as Method Man, Mary J. Blige and T.I., as well as political newsmakers like Democratic Representative Hakeem Jeffries, among many others.

Using the interview skills he has fostered over the past several years hosting episodes of The Drew Barrymore Show and The Wendy Williams Show and leading the Instagram Live talk show and podcast The Fat Joe Show, he delves deep into his guests’ life stories. In the first episode, Fat Joe travels to Method Man’s hometown of Staten Island to discuss their shared history in the hip-hop world of the ’90s, the enduring legacy of the Wu-Tang Clan and balancing a public career while preserving a private family life.

Fat Joe Talks is set to debut on STARZ on October 4 in the U.S. and Canada, with a new episode rolling out each Friday.

In this video interview, Fat Joe speaks to TV Real Weekly about curating the impressive lineup of guests, the topics and themes touched on in the interviews and what he hopes viewers will take away from watching the new talk show.
