Dorsey Pictures Ties Up with Matt Assmus

Dorsey Pictures has entered into a deal with Matt Assmus and his MTA Media for the expansion of their development and current production team.

Throughout his career, Assmus has been a reality TV producer on hit series such as Fear Factor and Pimp My Ride, and he was showrunner on Ashton Kutcher’s Beauty & The Geek. During his time with 3Ball Productions, he served as executive producer and showrunner on The Biggest Loser and Extreme Weight Loss. He also worked in development and launched several cable series, including My Cat From Hell, Scott Baio is 45 & Single, Hair Battle Spectacular and Hammertime.

Additionally, Whitney Hayes has been upped to development coordinator. Both will join the development team led by veteran unscripted producer Allison Boon, who serves as the company’s VP of development.
