DocuBox to Offer ARTE Docs Worldwide

SPI International/FilmBox has signed a license agreement with ARTE Distribution, the commercial arm of the German and French public broadcaster, for the global rights to 200 hours of ARTE-produced documentaries.

Per the deal, the ARTE docs will be available to DocuBox subscribers around the world, via both linear streaming and on-demand at filmboxlive.com. The added programs include documentaries about travel, nature, places and people such as 360 GEO, When the Egyptians Sailed on the Red SeaCathedral BuildersOn the Yeti Trail and Trafalgar. SPI/FilmBox also acquired the broadcast rights for some of ARTE’s travel and adventure series, including Let’s all go to sea and Islanders.
