Discovery Unveils Weapon-Building Competition Series

Discovery Channel is introducing Master of Arms (working title), a historical weapon-building competition show.

The all-new series brings together today’s best weaponsmiths to battle it out as they build weapons that changed the course of history. In each episode, three weapon builders face off in two challenges that call upon era-specific weaponry, including firearms of the frontier and blades from the Vikings. A former Army Special Operations sniper will determine each weapon’s velocity, accuracy and durability in the armory and in the field. In addition, a panel of expert judges will score each build. There will be an elimination after each challenge, and the person left standing at the end will win $10,000 and the title of “Master of Arms.”

Master of Arms is produced for Discovery Channel by Matador Content. For Matador Content, Todd Lubin, Jay Peterson and Brian Nashel are executive producers. For Discovery Channel, Chris Rantamaki, Matthew Vafiadis and Bill Howard are executive producers.
