LONDON: Starting in December, Discovery Networks International will roll out the OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network series Belief across its factual and lifestyle networks in 220-plus territories.

Narrated by Winfrey, the original docuseries invites viewers to witness spiritual journeys through the eyes of the believers. It will be released in December in both Northern and Southern Europe, with a December and January launch planned for the Asia Pacific. Come January, it will be made available in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, while Latin America will see it premiere in March.

Independent production company part2 pictures produced the series in collaboration with Winfrey’s Harpo Studios for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

“For the past three years, my team and I have been working to find the most compelling and thoughtful stories of faith, love and devotion from around the world,” said Winfrey. “This has been my heart’s work, to be able to share stories like these that reflect our world and explore humankind’s ongoing search to connect with something greater than ourselves. My intention was that the series would speak to people around the world, and I am thrilled the series can now be seen by millions of viewers worldwide.”

Belief is a moving, powerful and lyrical series with themes that are iconic, universal and important, and I’m excited about the opportunity to collaborate with the Oprah Winfrey Network to air the program worldwide,” said Marjorie Kaplan, the president of global content at Discovery Networks International. “This is a unique opportunity to showcase Oprah-curated content on an international scale and for viewers globally to come together and create vibrant dialogues in their communities.”
